Steven Thornton Funeral & Celebration of Life
Donation protected
Steven Thornton was tragically taken from us on Friday, October 20th, 2023 at the age of 57. Steve was a wonderful son, brother, father, step-father, grandfather & life partner, who touched the lives of those around him. Steve is survived by his mother Anna, his step-father Mike, his brothers John and Dave, his children Heather and James, his grandsons Benley and Rocky, and his beloved life-partner Blanca, and his step-children Jonathan, Zorina and Joseph, and step-grandchildren Amber, Adreane, Zoey and Leo.
Steve loved music. He was a Deadhead due to his love of the Grateful Dead. He loved to play and write music, as he learned how to play the guitar, bass, and keyboards. Steve also loved writing poetry, and enjoyed nature. Always with a saying ready courtesy of his favorite author, Tolkien, Steve was always ready to talk about his love of The Lord of the Rings.
In his final moments, Steve protected his beloved Blanca. As he was driving her to work, something he had done hundreds of times, a vehicle veered into their lane, in an attempt to pass a truck with a trailer, on that dark, two laned highway. Steve's last instinct was to turn the car to try to avoid the oncoming head-on collision. Authorities said if he didn't take that action, all 4 people in the vehicles might have perished. Steven is Blanca's guardian angel. We are all devastated by the loss of Steven, and we were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. We want to give Steve the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory, and say our last goodbyes.
We are currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Steven's funeral. We need to raise $15,000 by mid-November, in order to be able to afford the funeral service. Please consider donating, as any amount will truly help our family at this difficult time...
Thank You so much and God Bless. Hope you have a wonderful day!
