Each of the five members of this family has a disability.
* Angelo Stevens is an Army veteran on 80% medical disability.  Raised in group homes from the age of 3 to 18, he didn't know how to read until he was 11 years old.  He is attending college to get a Bachelors degree and has a 3.66 GPA. He is also working to get his certification to teach children.
* His wife, Nancy had a surgery and 4 other medical procedures this year, however, is cancer free. She is unable to work due to her health and her children require 24/7 care due to their seizurs.
* Their 16 year old son, Andrew, has a rare and deadly form of epilepsy called Lennox Gastau Syndrome and has 10-20 seizures daily.  He is the sweetest boy who will educate strangers about his rare disease, seizures, service dog, and why he needs a helmet.   He flirts with ladies of all ages, especially nurses.  It is unlikely that he will live beyond his teen years.  He has a highly trained seizure response dog, Alaya, who can detect seizures minutes before humans can and can soften his falls to the floor.  He is unable to attend public school because of the frequency and severity of his seizures.
* Victoria, their 19 year old daughter, is a sweetheart with a positive disposition.  She loves Justin Beiber and all things other girls her age love. She has daily epileptic seizures which prevent her from working or driving.
* Christopher, Nancy's grown brother, is autistic and also lives with them.  He does not speak at all.

While stopped at a red light, Angelo's car was recently totaled by a hit and run driver.  Angelo sustained serious back injuries from the crash.

The house they rent has been under foreclosure for several months and Wells Fargo has been unable or unwilling to renegotiate the mortgage with their landlord.  They live under the constant stress of wondering:
(1) when their rental will be foreclosued;
(2) where can they move and rent a one story house for 5 people, 3 service dogs (2 in training by Angelo);
(3) how they will pay for movers to pack and move their belongings since their physical limitations require help;
(4) how they will pay the deposit, 1st and last months rent on  new rental house.

WHY THEY NEED DONATIONS:
(1) No funds for Christmas for their children.
(2) Funds to help cover the monthly shortfall for living expenses.
(3) Mostly, funds are needed to pay for movers to pack, move and unpack their move to another house.
(4) Funds needed for the rental deposit required on a new home.

In 2010, Angelo nearly committed suicide because of their debts and dire financial circumstances.  Since then, he has helped save the lives of three other active duty soldiers who were close to suicide due to their debts. He is an educator on suicide risks of service members and veterans.

Angelo and Nancy have helped countless numbers of people and families with epilepsy and service dogs. They each are tirelessly helping others.  Nancy spends hours on the phone helping other families with epilepsy and service dog questions.

As a result of Nancy and Angelo's activism, they are solely responsible for changing the state regulations for service dogs in public schools in Virginia in 2011. The Today Show even covered up their fight against the VA Dept of Education. 30 children now attend public schools in Virginia with their service dogs thanks to the activism by Angelo and Nancy.

Please help this family see some financial hope.  Every $1, $5, $10 helps and is appreciated.

Note:  I am a family friend of several years and offered to do this to help the family.  100% of the donations (less GoFundMe costs) will directly go to Angelo and Nancy Stevens.  GoFundMe will deposit the donations (less their fees) into a WePay account solely controlled by Angelo and Nancy Stevens. I have no possibility of financial gain whatsoever in this fundraiser.  I seek only to help the family, as I helped them in 2010 when Angelo nearly committed suicde.
