Steve's Cancer Shakedown
Donation protected
Please support Steve Walsh in his fight against a rare cancer called Epithelioid Hemangioendothelioma, or EHE for short. Steve's just like all of us - enjoys life, has a family, friends, a dog, and a great sense of community. He is also a lifelong Southsider and White Sox fan cheering them on for all 35 years of his life so far! Steve graduated from St. Denis and Marist High School and is a local 399 union member who "knows everything about football." Currently living in Palos Heights with his girlfriend Lauren, Steve loves to travel, playing and watching sports, and live music. There's no better person to go to a concert with than Steve!!
Now he needs our help. The funds we raise here will help him directly with expensive medical costs, prescriptions, and treatments not covered fully by insurance. Short term disability has ended and Steve now has to pay out of pocket for insurance.
This past Christmas, Steve received a Box of Rain. The rain was a very rare cancer. Steve went to the hospital for a painful lump on his thigh and a collapsed lung. After a slough of doctors and confirmation from Mayo Clinic, Steve was diagnosed and began chemotherapy January 27th. Radiation began shortly thereafter. Cancer won't shake Steve's mental fortitude: "Tough times don't last, tough people do."
Please join Steve's friends and family to help him push through these dark clouds and shine some light. "Once in a while you get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right." -Scarlet Begonias by the Grateful Dead
