Steve's stroke recovery treatment.

In December of 2021, my dad Steve suffered a severe stroke as he began his shift at the Fall River police department. He has worked very hard on his rehab and recovery. He is now able to walk with a cane and is beginning to use his right arm. One of the greatest challenges that lingers is his inability to speak. We discovered that there is a cutting-edge treatment at the Institute of Neurological Recovery in Florida. My dad has been accepted into this treatment program, which will take place in August (2023). This treatment will help to reduce the pain he experiences daily. It will also improve his movement and help to recover his speech. Unfortunately, insurance will not cover the treatments. The procedure alone will cost over 16,000.
