In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Comfort Volunteer Fire Department. Stewart Crawford was a firefighter in his early days in Pittsburg, PA, and the Comfort VFD always held a special place in his heart. Mr. Stewart Phillips Crawford of Comfort passed away on Friday, March 8th at the age of 74 years. Stewart was born on November 16th, 1944 in Allegheny, Pennsylvania to William Henry and Nell Stewart Crawford. He married Betty Mae Spellman on July 4th, 1977 in Reno, Nevada.
Mr. Stewart P. Crawford is survived by two sons: Sean Byrnes of New Hampshire and Garry and Lorna Spellman of Boerne.
Two grandchildren: Nicole and Dee Bailey, William and Sarah Spellman.
Three Great Grandchildren: Julia Grace Spellman, Samuel Paul Spellman, Carolina Rose Spellman.
Stewart is preceded in death by his parents and wife.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, May 4th at 3 P.M. in the Comfort Community Park.
