Still job hunting and my car died

Hi, my name is Nansi. I was widowed last year and have been actively job hunting since. My 2010 Hyundai went in for repairs after it wouldn't start. All told, plus inspection that is due, it's going to run $1,000 to fix and i just don't have it. (The pic here is my year, color & model as my car is at the mechanics right now).

I can't do the temp work I'm in now, or job hunt for something permanent, without the car. My rent takes up 90% of my SSA widow's benefits, and temp work just covers food and utilities, so I'm stuck.

Any help would be so appreciated and paid forward when I am working.
