We are a group of women who are living childless due to circustance. Each of us has lost one or more of our children through pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or the death of an infant, and we currently have no living children to mother.
There is a lot of support available for women who have experienced babyloss in general. There is a lot of focus on pregnancy and parenting after loss. And yet, for mothers like us, there is very little support or acknowledgment of the constant struggle to live without our children.
We have begun collaborating on creating a website, blog and social media groups to help support women like us, and to help raise awareness of what living childless after loss is really like. We have the approval for creating the Still Mothers website as a sister site to Still Standing Magazine. We require funding in order to can launch and maintain the website.
We have created the following mission statement for Still Mothers:
-To provide support and resources for families who have experienced the death of a baby (ies) and are living without a child to raise.
-To promote healing, peace, and self-care.
-To raise awareness surrounding the issues of babyloss, secondary infertility, and the choice to remain childless after loss.
-To acknowledge/recognize the motherhood of women without children to raise.
