Stimrouter Implant for chronic pain from CRPS

Hello Everyone,

My name is Chelsey and I'm raising funds for a procedure for my arm. In February of 2023, I had IV infiltration in the wrist area of my right arm that went unchecked by the hospital. I developed an extremely painful chronic condition from this called CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome). It affects my right hand down to about my mid-forearm. I'm unfortunately right-handed and can barely use it due to the pain, swelling, and atrophy.

I was officially diagnosed in June of 2023 and immediately started the grueling process of physical therapy and, shortly after, pain management. Aside from being on 3 different medications, I've also had a stellate ganglion block (unsuccessful) and several nerve blocks with minimal improvement. My daily life has been greatly affected by this, and going in public without my husband or family/friends is extremely embarrassing if I have a sudden onset of intense pain (the pain is constant but can unfortunately also spike unexpectedly).

My pain doctor highly recommends getting a Stimrouter in my arm to help my daily pain. The Stimrouter would be placed near my radial nerve so I can have on-the-spot pain management. It's much less invasive than a spinal cord stimulator and about 1/4 the cost. Because of the pain being in a branch of the radial nerve down by my wrist, my doctor says the Stimrouter vs a spinal cord stimulator should work much better since it's a targeted approach. The downside is that insurance will not cover this procedure since it's not commonly done yet.

The cost of the equipment is about $6000, and the procedure itself is $2000. I only have 3 nerve blocks left, so am left with no other options after they're done. After over a year of dealing with the constant pain and lack of use of my right hand/lower arm, any help would be greatly appreciated.
