The Lavilla Family is excited to announce that we are slated as 2023 Hermana Mayor in Santo Niño. As we lay the financial scaffolding for next year’s Feast of Señor Santo Niño, we humbly ask our friends and family for your generous support.

Along with your monetary gesture as a fervent devotion of faith to Señor Sant Niño, this fundraising opportunity is also committed to the continuing efforts of bolstering the resilience of faith within a region prone to calamities. Every single dollar or peso donated will go to the restoration of the Holy Church of Santo Niño and church activities. All donors will be acknowledged in the program of kuratsa Maĵor during the véspera gala.

***About Santo Niño de Quinapondan, Eastern Samar

The Santo Niño de Quinapondan has been the object of devotion and worship by Samareños since the first Missionaries in the island introduced the image. Over the years, following a series of miracles across neighboring towns such as Tacloban, the residents of Quinapondan were drawn closer together by their mutual admiration for the Child Jesus. The "Hermanidad han Santo Niño" was later created and the feast day of the Holy Child was celebrated every third Sunday of January.
