Stock the Free Food Pantry
Donation protected
My neighbors and I put up a little free pantry when the pandemic began, as so many people in our city lost their jobs and needed help. Food banks are wonderful, but they often ask people for their names and other identifying information that some are reluctant to give.
This pantry is used heavily, much more than we expected. Families come with their children and "shop". We have been able to supply not just food, but also some shampoo, feminine products and even baby food.
However, because it is used so much by families in need, the cost of supplying it is higher than the three of us can manage. At this point, we spend about $500-600 a month filling it with soup, bread, dried fruit, etc.
We would like to continue stocking the pantry but we just need a little help. There are so many families in our community who are hurting and children going without. No one should be hungry.
Every penny donated will pay for shelf stable food and supplies for the pantry.
