Stock Wayland's Canteen for 90 Days

Donation protected
Wayland Coleman, an incarcerated activist/organizer and member of the #DeeperThanWater coalition, was thrown in solitary for 10 days in March for having “too much” clean, bottled water in his cell at MCI-Norfolk, where the water runs black from the taps. He had purchased this water at canteen, but it was taken away from him and still has not been returned nor has he been reimbursed.

More on these events can be found on the DeeperThanWater website

His disciplinary hearing for this incident was on May 1st and Wayland received the sanctions of 60 days with no phone privileges and 90 days with no canteen privileges. This means that for 90 days, Wayland will be unable to purchase food, water, soap, clothes, stamps, stationery, toilet paper, or other necessities. He currently has $3 on his account which he is putting towards emails so that he can communicate with loved ones while his phone privileges are taken away for 60 days and his visitation list has still not been approved after new visitor restrictions were put in place .

Please help fill Wayland's canteen account! His sanctions could go into effect any day. We are trying to raise him money by the end of the week so he can purchase enough necessities to get him through the next 90 days! Wayland put his life on the line for the work of bringing clean water to people incarcerated; let's support him now!
