Stolen Car and Dog: Help Wally Return
Donation protected
Help us get our family dog Wally home We are the Corona Family (Rafael and Dalila) and our dog was stolen on 12/29/24 at 1:04pm in Berywn, IL along with our 2017 White Subaru Forester SUV.
We were loading the car up to do laundry, Wally followed Rafael (my husband) downstairs as he was putting the last load of laundry into the trunk. Once they got to the car, Wally jumped in, and my husband let him stay in the car, since he was going to quickly return upon locking our home. My husband finished locking up and made his way to the car (as I followed behind with our son) and that is where Rafael made the shocking discovery of the missing vehicle containing our precious family member, Wally.
We immediately went into action, Rafael with calling the police to get the report started, and I (Dalila), took off to find video cameras in the area that may have captured the incident. We are doing everything we can to have our furry best friend safely returned home by posting on social media, posting flyers in the surrounding areas, and offering a $1k reward.
Footage obtained shows a homeless person to be who stole the family car containing our furry family member. The vehicle was reported in a hit and run accident ~15-30min after being stolen. Plates last seen in the Broadview, IL area.
Our story was picked up by multiple news channels, including ABC7 , NBC Chicago, CBS, and WGN to share Wally's story. We have received an outpouring of support and with Wally's story being shared, some of the kindest people have reached out wanting to contribute towards the reward fund. Any amount raised here will be added to the $1k we are offering, if we are not able to find Wally, we will be donating the funds raised here to the local animal shelters.
Wally is our 14yr old Pomeranian and he has alopecia which means he has a very short mane, not your typical long mane for Pomeranians. Wally is also a very handsome boy, I always get stopped when I walk him, and he would get showered with compliments. If you see a good looking Pomeranian that slightly resembles a Shiba Inu, that is our little guy!
Wherever he is, we pray he is warm, fed, and being loved. Please help us bring Wally home!
