Stolen Firefighter Gear Help
Donation protected
Update as of 10/26:
My husband has been ordered new equipment and is currently full equipped with the proper PPE for his job. We do appreciate any offers of donated equipment but the items have already been replaced - the GoFundMe is strictly towards repaying the gear that was stolen. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to myself via the gofundme page or Ryan’s email, [email redacted]. Thank you everyone for your continued support - we are so appreciative!
Hello everyone,
My husband's name is Ryan Muchmore and he is a firefighter in Colorado. He recently had the entirety of his fire gear stolen out of his truck in Denver. This included structural bunker gear, breathing masks, regulators, and everything else he needs to perform his job. We've spent the last 2 months hoping it would turn up, but unfortunately this has not happened. It has been a very unfortunate, stressful situation and the prospect of replacing his stolen gear has been a huge burden on our family. The equipment stolen was extremely valuable, both financially and on a personal level.
Ryan has been tasked with replacing this equipment himself, and needless to say this is a very significant financial hurdle we are facing. He is currently supporting me as I am in graduate school, which is one of many testaments to his selflessness as a husband and friend to many others. Ryan has spent the last 10 years dedicated to serving others. He risked his life serving our country in the 75th Ranger Regiment and now serves his community in Colorado as a firefighter. He doesn't deserve to have had this happen, but he has faced the situation with the highest level of humility and respect for his department.
My hope is to be able to help alleviate some of the burden he is facing. My goal is for Ryan to be able to do his job without having to lose sleep over this situation. He goes into each shift dedicated to working for the service of others and deserves the chance to be fully focused on a bright future in the fire service. We appreciate any and all contributions, and cannot thank you all enough for any support.
