Stolen Trailer from Charity that feeds homeless

Hey guys

I'm d'Arcy the founder and president of Down 2 Earth Charity and a 2021 Young Australian of the Year Finalist

On the 01/09/2021 at 1:04 am my trailer filled with cans was stolen from outside my house. I run a charity that feeds 120-150 homeless people a week and it is entirely funded by the 10c can initiative and this trailer was used 7 days a week to pick up cans in the day then in the night time I would sometimes use it to feed the homeless as well. As I said Down 2 Earth is proudly built on the foundation of using what we have in the world and who we have in the world so we really depend on waste so Im not gonna lie we don't have a lot of money to play with unlike other charities. When I started this in 2020 I never thought that some scum would steal from me let alone the homeless people of South East Queensland I honeslty feel sick because I am so passionate about this I want to put chilli down this guys jocks. Life has its peaks and valleys and unfortunately this is a valley for Down 2 Earth however with your help we can turn a negative into a postive as a community. The Ipswich has never let me down before, I love calling this place home and I love everyone in it (apart from the guy that took me trailer) so I don't like asking for help but this time I really have no choice. Down 2 Earth is the best thing that has happened to me and to be honest nothing is going to ever stop me this is just another bump in the road but we have a lot of homeless relying on us to feed them healthy meals and in order to continue the level of meals and souls fed we need your help as we cannot afford any sort theft in our charity.

I need 2 trailers 1 for the kind soul that donated to me (providing I do his dump runs) and one for Down 2 Earth I am sure he will let me use the other trailer on the other vans. In my short life I have alrready learnt that everything happens for a reason and life throws things at you like this. So what I am leading at is that in general we need a bit of an upgrade everywhere and everylittle bit would help. We currently have 3 vans they run but thats about it one doesnt even have power steering lol so lets see if we can change that.
