Stonybrook Eviction Defense Fund

Donation protected
Only two days after holding a protest to demand safe housing and better conditions, seven tenant leaders of Stonybrook Apts have received eviction notices and told they must vacate their homes in seven days.

These brave women are organizing and speaking out against the mold, asbestos, rats, roaches, and sewage that are making their children sick. They are fighting for themselves, their families, and their community. As a reward for their courage, they are now being threatened with eviction. Having to live in this toxic prison hellhole is stressful enough without having an eviction case hanging over your head during the Holidays.

This is why we, the Palm Beach County Tenants Union, are requesting supporters in the community make any donation you can to help relieve these stressful times and prepare for the worst. Specifically, we need money for legal defense fees along with potential moving costs should the landlord prevail in court. Any amount you can contribute, even $5, will go a long way. All proceeds go directly to the Stonybrook Tenant Union.

Phone Blast

We also request that supporters call to demand the landlord drop all of these eviction cases immediately.

Millennia Housing (216) [phone redacted]

Let them know these are clear acts of landlord retaliation, witness tampering in a lawsuit, and civil rights violations. Let them know this latest act of abuse will not be tolerated. It's Millennia Housing that deserves lawsuits, not the tenants. Instead of tenants thrown out on the streets, the landlord should be thrown in jail for its criminal behavior.

Note: The Palm Beach County Tenants Union is a 501c3 tenant organization and your gifts or donations are absolutely classified as a deductible charitable donation on your federal income taxes. Again, all contributions go directly to the tenant union of Stonybrook Apartments.
