Stop Covington Trace Ridge Apartments Litgation
Donation protected
The Covington Trace Ridge Apartments, 100 unit complex, at Claiborne Hill is on-going and needs to be totally stopped. Our legal fight are two lawsuits in the 22nd Judicial District Court in Covington ("Military Road Revitalization vs. St.Tammany Parish" case #2023-13320 and also "Barnett vs. BCP Northshore
Properties,LLC et al" case #2023-15888). A third matter to be filed in Federal
Court concerning wetland disputes is being considered, especially in light of
the October,2023 decision in O'Reilly vs. US Army Corps of Engineers case
#2021-cv-1027 in the Federal Eastern District of Louisiana.
A Committee of District 2 residents have created this GoFundMe Account to help defray all costs, court expenses, expert fees and deposition costs related to our fight. Funds raised will NOT go towards attorney fees. Attorney fees are being graciously donated by Covington attorney Patricia Fox.
The District 2 Committee are overseeing all expenditures.
The cost budget is estimated to be $ 16,500 for all costs. Your support is requested to fight this unwanted development that will add to the already traffic congestion at Claiborne Hill.
Any excess funds will be donated to a local charity or charities.
Signs are being sold for $25.00 Donation to the GoFundMe Account.
