Help End Animal Cruelty
Donation protected
We urgently need funds to continue campaigning for the end of live animal exports.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has committed to phasing out live sheep exports by sea –Australia has never been closer to ending the cruel trade! – but as the end nears, the live export industry has upped the ante, pouring a huge amount of resources into lobbying the government to backflip on its promise.
We can’t let that happen!
It’s more important than ever before, that we ramp up our campaigning to show the decision-makers that the majority of Australians want the cruel trade to end – sooner rather than later!
As we’ve just witnessed with the horrific Bahijah tragedy, each day live export continues, more animals suffer. Campaigning takes time and money – please help us be a resounding voice for the animals, by making a contribution today.
You can also contribute to our campaigning by becoming member on our website. Regular donations mean we spend less time fundraising and more time helping the animals.

On behalf of Australia’s animals – thank ewe for your support!
About us
Stop Live Exports is a non-profit organisation in Perth WA that advocates for the end of live animal exports from Australia. Our supporters come from all walks of life including professionals, tradies, kids, grandparents, meat-eaters, non-meat-eaters, city slickers, country dwellers and everyone in between. We want to see the live export trade replaced with a more humane, progressive, and ethical alternative that looks after farmers and their animals too.
And we're not alone. We represent the views of the overwhelming majority of Australians who agree that the live export trade is inherently cruel, outdated and has no place in Australian society. Independent polling conducted in May 2023 found 71% of Western Australians support the Federal Government’s policy to phase out live sheep exports by sea – including 69% in rural and regional Western Australia.
In addition, recent research showed that 78% of Australians support a phase-out if farmers are supported through the transition, and in August 2023 almost 44,000 Australians signed a Parliamentary Petition – one of the largest Australian e-petitions in history – calling on the government to end the cruel trade sooner rather than later.
Australia is closer than it has ever been to ending live sheep exports! Help us get it over the line and end their suffering once and for all!
Live sheep exports are worth a tiny proportion of Australia’s agricultural exports – just 0.1%! It’s time to move away from trading in cruelty and transition to a more humane, sustainable and ethical alternative that looks after farmers – and their animals.
