The historic Oceano Dunes SVRA, Pismo Dunes, is under threat of permanent closure this year! It is make it or break it for the Friends of Oceano Dunes organization to fund our legal efforts to keep it open for future generations.
Last year, we overturned the imminent closure of the Oceano Dunes, keeping it open for families. For over 23 years, we have fought and won many victories to protect this one-of-a-kind destination and its 100-year tradition. We are fighting a legal appeal of our court victory against the Coastal Commission, so we can once again save the Park from closing in 2024. We have gone on the offensive and filed a Quiet Title Implied Dedication lawsuit that will expand acreage and make it permanent. Our lawsuits will determine the Parks future! Friends is a 501c3 not-for-profit volunteer organization, no salaries are paid, 100% of donations go to the fight and donations are tax deductible.
