Stop The Liverpool Zip

Liverpool City Centre is not a funfair!
Please support our campaign to raise funds for the legal fees and costs for a High Court Judicial Review against Liverpool City Council planning department to stop Zip World seizing Liverpool’s iconic heritage buildings as a venture for profit making.
The plans to install permanent adventure zip wires from St John's Beacon to Liverpool Central Library will destroy not only its UNESCO recognition but the oasis of calm and remembrance in our city centre’s St John's Gardens; dishonouring the 96 victims of Hillsborough, the victims of road traffic accidents and the brave and never forgotten who died for our Country. All are remembered here. This zip wire will disrupt visitors going to the Museum; Central Library and Art Gallery in an area that people wish to use for quiet relaxation and study.
These buildings are a vital part of our cultural heritage and belong to the public to enjoy. We need to protect our community assets from greedy business driven solely by profit. We are asking Liverpool City Council to stop this project and maintain the integrity of the historical offer of our City.
Your support and donations is vital. Zip World is seeking other cities beyond Liverpool to exploit if they are successful with their plans, we must stop the Disneyfication of our urban cities.
Thank you
