Stop unfair PCNs issued by Brent
Donativo protegido
In mid June I received a PCN for making a prohibited right turn at the Mortimer Road Chamberlayne Road junction shown in the picture. It looked to me, as it does to the majority, as if the prohibited right turn sign was unlit. I flagged this up with the Leader of the Council, Queens Park Ward Councillors, and Brent Parking but was told that the signage is clear. I then heard the many stories others who had also been caught out at this junction, and who feel that it is a "cash cow" for the council, and I became determined to act to get the signage at this junction changed and the PCNs of all those unfairly fined cancelled.
This is becoming a high profile case and Brent can be expected to have representation at the tribunal that I will attend to appeal my fine on the grounds of the signage being inadequate. £130 is the amount that I will have to pay if I go to tribunal (which I am determined to do - Brent usually decide not to contest this type of case) which I will pay myself. Any funds raised will go towards my own representation at the tribunal. Should I win and there be surplus funds then the money will go to a charity to be decided by the group of local people who have continue to support me in facing up to Brent Parking and the underhand way in which they go about revenue raising from motorists.
