Storm Babet Flood Devastation

Donation protected

Hello Everyone,

On Friday 20th October Storm Babet hit our street Heron Rise in Claverhouse, Dundee, Scotland. The Dighty Burn burst it’s banks and reached a level 3.5 meters above its previous peak.

The resulting flood swept away fences and in no time at all filled most houses in the street up to waist height in water mud and debris.

luckily most of us have insurance to cover the costs, and subsequent upheaval to many lives. But unfortunately we have a few friends and neighbours that didn’t have the cover required for this exceptional event.

I am trying to raise as much as possible to help those that REALLY need it. They are having to strip out all their damaged belongings and contents, rip out damaged floors, walls, electrics and plumbing, clean, dry and sanitise before even thinking about rebuilding.
There has been a lot of pulling together in our street and surrounding area helping physically and mentally where we can, but hopefully we can help with the rebuilding and materials cost.
I appreciate you taking the time to read this, and anything you can donate will be put to those who need it the most.
thankyou
