Storm Babet Small Business Fund

Hi everyone,

this is an appeal for help in the form of financial aid support for a group of small businesses flooded out when the river South Esk burst its banks due to storm Babet.

They are mostly one man businesses which have been completely overwhelmed and face possible financial ruin.B A E Auto Services,

R.D.Autos,Cathedral Boxing Club, Lawn Master and a few other self employed people are in the process of trying to clean up and carry on,but face an uphill task as the loss of tools,equipment and services such as electricity has made this extremely difficult.

Like nearby residences,these small businesses have been unable to get any sort of insurance cover due to their close proximity to the river and with mortgages and other bills and other expenses to pay,the loss of income means they will struggle.In addition,the clean up process is expensive with likes of skip and generator hire and running costs also adding to the burden

These guys mostly operate 24/7 as far as their work is concerned and practically live at their respective premises in an attempt to make a success of their businesses and this huge setback is devastating.A donation,no matter how small would be greatly appreciated and help towards their recovery.
