Storm's Health

Donation protected
Sweet Stormy is 1 year and 4 months old. She is stubborn as can be, she is playful, and she is my little girl. She is always excited to see new people and meet new animals. I have never met a more friendly pup. However, if mom tries to wake her up before 8am she grunts and groans until she is put back to bed. This little lady needs her beauty rest!

On Friday June 22nd, 2018 I noticed that Stormy wasn't wanting extra treats and was sleeping more. As the days progressed I started to see more signs of something being off. June 24th, 2018 storm stopped eating, EVERYTHING! It didn't matter if it was hamburger, steak, chicken, peanut butter, etc. nothing was of interest. She was no longer excited to see me, or anyone who stopped by. She no longer wanted to play and as the days progressed I started to fear for the worst.

During the span of a week I took Stormy to the vet on 3 separate occasions. The vet informed me that my dog had acid reflux and she was fine. Being the concerned mother that I am I demanding on Monday the 3rd of July that storm was given an Ultrasound and Blood Work immediately. The vet was more concerned with her "acid reflux" than the fact that my little lady was on the verge of death and had not eaten in 7 days!!

Finally the vet referred me to a specialist. The second I walked into Southern Colorado Veterinary Internal Medicine Hospital I was told by Dr. Miles that Storm needed to be admitted. He also ran her blood work while we were there and her liver levels came back 30x's the normal amount for any dog. Her body was in sepsis and she wouldn't of made it much longer.

Storm was admitted to the hospital on Monday July 3rd, and her current hospital bill is at $2536.00. If she is needed to stay for any length of time longer than the morning of July 4th her bills will increase from there.

I do understand that many people may not be able to give money, but please know that even a donation of $2.00 will allow me to get storm the care she needs and allow Dr. Miles to continue on trying to find the underlying cause to why her liver went into failure.

Stormy is my world, she is my child, she is my everything and having her by my side for the next 10 plus years is truly all I am seeking.

Thank you for your time, your concern and your support through all of this. I couldn't do this without you all.
