Stormie Needs Your Help!

Stormie, a current Great Dog Rescue NE resident, sadly had to retire early from her blossoming NFL career due to a torn ACL and is in need of a TPLO surgery. A TPLO, or tibial-plateau-leveling osteotomy, is a surgery that stabilizes the stifle joint after it is torn. With a torn ACL, Stormie is on evercise restriction and daily pain medication. This surgery is highly successful and will allow her to have an active, pain free life. The surgery is expensive and with blood work, x-rays, and rechecks it will cost around $4000. As a non-profit we unfortunately have limited funds and are in need or your help.

 

Stormie, a 2 year old American Bulldog mix, was found down south abandoned, scarred and pregnant. She was brought up to New England where she gave birth to 10 puppies. She was a wonderful mom to them, and is now currently living with her foster family. Stormie is a sweet lady who can be a little rough around the edges due to her difficult past. While waiting to find her forever family she has made so much progress with her foster family and is continuing to improve each day. She is such a loving, funny, intelligent, playful member of the Great Dog Rescue Family and deserves a pain free life.

 

All the money raised will go towards her surgery and recovery. We are so thankful and appreciative of any amount you can give, no amount is too small, and I know she is thankful too!

More information about Great Dog Rescue NE: Great Dog Rescue New England is a 501(C)(3) non-profit, shelterless, all-breed rescue group based out of Andover, MA. Since 2002 we have placed over 11,000 dogs including 1,464 dogs in 2016 alone. The shelters we work with reach out to us to help save wonderful dogs and puppies, including pregnant strays, before they have to be put down to do lack of space or funding. We take in as many as we can, but are limited by funds to cover housing, transport and health care costs.
