Stormy Cats Medical Fund

Hello everyone,

As many of you have been following along, we found Stormy in a storm drain outside of Dallas just a week ago. He was extremely underweight but the sweetest cat we ever met on the street. He had concerning blood work and after a rough first night, the emergency vet discovered he had a blood parasite destroying his red blood cells.

He went home on antibiotics only to show signs of lethargy 4 days later. He returned to emergency care last night. His body is not fighting off the infection he has and the vet team is treating him more aggressively. He may need a blood transfusion if he loses any more red blood cells.

His bills have already totaled over $2,000 and his new estimate is up to $4,000 depending on his response to treatment. We don’t want to give up on him yet but this is an incredible amount of money in such a short amount of time.

If you can help Stormy out we would be so appreciative. Every penny goes straight to him. We know he was someone’s pet at some point in his 7 years of life before he made a storm drain his home, and it’s clear he knows how much love a family can bring him.
