Story of America Doc Finishing Fund

Story of America documents our divided nation in the years between the 2012 election and the 2016 election. It is told as a personal journey of an Asian American immigrant filmmaker trying to understand the nature of our divide by listening to real people in America and sometimes challenging them on their beliefs.  

The project focuses on the political divide in America rooted in differences in historical narratives and racial experiences, and poses questions about how we may forge a viable path to reconciliation.  

After fours years filming around the country, we are just weeks away from finishing up our feature-length documentary. It has been in web series  since the end of 2012; it is now also a feature film  titled, "Into the Divide." 

We are working on organizing community screenings and discussions about our divide across the country in 2017.
