The St. Paul A.M.E. Church is a historic African Methodist Episcopal Church located in Raleigh, North Carolina. A red brick and frame structure built in 1884 by black masons, St. Paul's was the first independent congregation of African Americans in Raleigh and is the oldest African-American church in Wake County, North Carolina. The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in November 1987 and is also a Raleigh Historic Landmark.
BUT, like most historic land marks St. Paul A.M.E. is in dire need of a face lift; The Trustee Board is asking all who care to make a sacrificial donation to this restoration project please do so NOW. The Church has 79 stained-glass windows that need restoring, replacing of trust, repairing water damaged walls, and the strengthening of tower. WE NEED YOUR HELP!
