Stray Kitten Broken Leg Surgery

Donation protected
When I arrived at work on Tuesday morning there was a teenage kitten in the parking lot. I gave her some of our cat’s food and went to work. An hour later, she was still there.  I called her from a distance trying not to scare her. Surprisingly, she came.  The kitten let me pet her, and I noticed a large wound on her leg.  After letting her get comfortable with me, she let me carry her into my office.  I think the kitten is either lost or abandoned. She is very loving and has no fear of human contact.  I kept her there and tried to find her owner on social media.  No-one responded so later I called my Vet Clinic, Companion Animal Hospital.  They offered to help look at the wound and give antibiotics for almost no charge, so I took her in.  When they looked at her, they discovered her leg was broken and thought they could set it and send her home in a cast. They kept her overnight to do more exams and called in the morning with a worse diagnosis.  The kitten probably broke her leg about a month ago and the bone has tried to heal in the wrong place.  The vet also believes that the kitten is pregnant.  The broken bone will require a specialized surgeon that can graft pieces to the rejoined bones to force the broken portion to grow again.  The discounted work offered by Companion Animal Hospital was an amazing offer, but now the kitten needs to be transferred to the UGA vet school for the surgery.  The estimate for the surgery is in the $4000 to $5000 range.  There will be at least $500 in additional expenses from the vet.  Please help me fund the surgery to save the kitten and likely also her kittens.  Thank You.
