Street Children Project Crisis Appeal
Donation protected
Some young women involved in street situations with volunteers at the 2019 International Day for the Street Child event organized by the Street Children Project in Kumasi, Ghana.
Hi!!
These are uncertain and difficult times for everyone, but for children in street situations, these are especially critical moment. That is why I am not taking what I am about to ask you lightly.
The street children project of Kumasi, that you know I am strongly associated with, has been on the frontline, providing education, vocational training, counselling, and a playground for hundreds of children that goes through their doors each day.
As a result of the global COVID - 19 crisis in the last few weeks, they have been forced to make a difficult decision by closing their drop-in and daycare centres to these children and youth who have made this place home. Now they are faced with making another critical decision about the 50 girls from the streets who are currently in their vocational training center undergoing training and rehabilitation. They are prepared to keep these 50 young women in residence as long as they can, but they cannot do that without the generous support of people like you.
Your donation will help the project provide essential food and toiletries, and help keep these young women in residence in these critical moments. Keeping them in residence means keeping them safe from the pandemic and giving them a chance to start a new chapter in life.
Please, help me help the Project keep these young women in residence by giving whatever you can. All donations will be sent to the project to provide food and toiletries for these 50 girls. Thank you in advance for your help and support, this means the world to me.
You can also donate directly to the Project by visiting their donation website at https://www.streetchildrenprojectksi.org/doneer/
Thank you once again!!!
Sincerely,
Nurudeen
