Strength 4 Richard

In mid-May, 2016, after experiencing some health issues, Richard Laury was diagnosed with a brain tumor. At the time, he was told it was non-cancerous, but required surgery for removal as it was pushing on his brain. 

On June 7th, the day he got his staples removed from his surgery, he was given the news that he does indeed have brain cancer. The specific type of cancer is glioblastoma (level 4), and to say the least, it is very aggressive.

As Richard begins his treatment, he is facing from the start a $10,000 deductible with his insurance. As his treatment progresses, he and his family are bound to incur further bills and expenses for medical, travel and other reasons. We are starting to fundraise at this point to take this worry away from them. 

We, his friends and parish family, are taking the fundraising efforts. Funds collected for Richard will be overseen by Bill Borysewicz, Father James Nash, Peg Jimcosky and anyone further that Richard may designate. 

There are a number of fundraising ideas (concerts, dinners, tshirts, wristbands, etc.) that will be coming in the very near future. In the meantime, you may donate here or make donations directly to St. Faustina Parish in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania (specify that your donation is for Richard.)
