[Update 13/07/2023]: IWU Members in the Ballyfermot Iceland Store have again decided to take strike action against Metron Stores Ltd. The strike will take place on the 18th of July. This follows still worsening conditions in the store, with wages still not being paid properly or fully for many workers. Please support the workers by contributing to our Solidarity Fund

[Update 23/05/2023]: Thank you to everyone who donated to our Solidarity fund. In total (after transfer fees), including other donations from the Unite Construction branch among others, we raised €2900 for the striking workers. While the strike only went ahead last week for the Coolock and Northside Shopping Centre stores, the remaining funds raised will be put aside for any other industrial action by our members in Iceland in the near future.

Dublin-based Iceland workers notified their employer today, 9th May 2023, that if their grievances continue to be left unaddressed by the company, they will strike Friday, 19th May 2023.

The IWU has set up this solidarity fund to support the workers in their struggle.
