Striking out Cancer: A Baseball-Themed Walk
Tax deductible
For the fourth straight year, I'm walking to raise money for the American Cancer Society. This time, my walk will be a two-day event (Fri. Oct. 9 and Sat. Oct. 10) covering a marathon distance each day and taking me to various baseball locations in all five boroughs of New York City.
My journey will take me to sites where baseball used to be played ("Old" Yankee Stadium, Hilltop Park, Polo Grounds, Ebbets Field, Shea Stadium) to current major league parks ("New" Yankee Stadium, Citi Field) and will even explore minor league fields (MCU Park, Richmond County Bank Ballpark).
While showing you these current and former baseball locations in my two-day, 52.4-mile trek, I also hope to raise at least $1,000.00 to support cancer research for those who are affected by the disease. They deserve to live full, healthy lives so they can experience all the wonders of life, like baseball stadiums.
Won't you please consider making a difference in this battle against cancer by making a generous donation? As always, donations are 100% tax deductible. Your assistance will make an impact as we try to defeat this dreaded disease.
Thank you for reading, sharing and contributing to this cause. Your donation means so much to me (the son of a two-time cancer survivor). But it means even more to current cancer patients and future cancer survivors.
