"I’ve cleaned guest rooms at my hotel for 27 years. During the pandemic, the owner took millions of dollars from the government to quarantine travelers at the hotel. Meanwhile, the hotel fired 143 of our co-workers and most of our room cleaning staff. We’re fighting back for ourselves and for our families.” - Pardeep Thandi, Radisson Blu YVR Hotel Room Attendant
Striking hotel workers in Richmond are making personal and financial sacrifices to fight for justice on the job. These include parents and grandparents on the picket line. They keep fighting ONE DAY LONGER for the secure jobs and fair pay all workers deserve! Their fight brings all working people one step closer to demanding respect in our industries.
Radisson Blu Vancouver Airport hotel workers have been on strike for OVER 3 YEARS – the longest hotel strike in Canadian history! Radisson Blu Vancouver Airport workers continue to fight for job security and a fair contract. They want management to recall their long-term coworkers terminated during the pandemic, to pay family-supporting wages and to improve working conditions.
Please donate to support hotel workers on strike! Any amount helps our fight!
Thank you for your solidarity!
