Stroke Recovery Support for Roberto

Hello! This GoFundMe account is set up by Yani, Osmin and Sandra, Roberto Quinteros’ children to have our loved ones, colleagues, and friends contribute with any amount to help us cover the medical expenses, loss of income, rehabilitation time, and relocation costs for our father Roberto.

On January 8th, 2023, my father suffered a stroke (Brain Hemorrhage) while visiting his native country of El Salvador. My father has lost mobility throughout the entire left side of his body and some of his speech. At the moment, he remains sedated and under careful medical watch. Immediate family members have rushed oversees to be by his side. We want to bring him home asap but under these conditions there’s no telling how long he might need to stay in the hospital he is currently receiving medical care at.

In order for him to stay at the hospital where he’ll get the best medical care possible we have to pay a daily hospital bill. Additionally, other related bills are already piling up. They are estimated to reach tens of thousands of dollars. Therefore, we are asking for assistance in covering the accumulated costs between the ambulance, care at the hospital, and recovery process. We greatly appreciate any help, no matter how small it is. The Quinteros Segovia Family is appreciative of your support.

Queridos amigos y familiares, esta cuenta de GoFundMe está creada por Yani, Osmin y Sandra, hijos e hija de Roberto Quinteros para que nuestros seres queridos, colegas y amigos contribuyan con cualquier cantidad para ayudarnos a cubrir los gastos médicos, pérdida de ingresos, tiempo de rehabilitación, y costos de reubicación de nuestro padre Roberto.

El 8 de enero de 2023, mi padre sufrió un derrame cerebral (hemorragia cerebral) mientras visitaba su país natal de El Salvador. Mi padre ha perdido movilidad en todo el lado izquierdo de su cuerpo y parte de su habla. Por el momento, permanece sedado y bajo estricta vigilancia médica. Los miembros de la familia inmediata se han apresurado a viajar para estar a su lado. Queremos traerlo a casa en NY lo antes posible, pero en estas condiciones no se sabe cuánto tiempo podría necesitar permanecer en el hospital en el que actualmente recibe atención médica.

Para que se quede en el hospital donde recibirá la mejor atención médica posible, tenemos que pagar una factura hospitalaria diaria. Además, ya se están acumulando otras facturas relacionadas. Se estima que el gasto medico llegara a muchos miles de dólares. Por lo tanto, estamos solicitando ayuda para cubrir los costos acumulados entre la ambulancia, la atención en el hospital y el proceso de recuperación.
