Stroke Survivor & Recovery Warrior
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
My name is Lynda and my daughter is helping me write this introduction. I had a stroke in mid-July 2023 and it affected my speech, my right-side body strength, and a host of other things. I've been doing weekly Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy. I also do daily activities on my own to help with my recovery.
It's been a long and slow process but I'm getting stronger and can do some things again like move my right arm, hand, and fingers. I'm working on walking again and increasing my mobility. My speech aphasia is a daily struggle and I'm sometimes overwhelmed by the frustration when I want to communicate with my loved ones and friends. But I won't give up.
A few years ago I wrote a short story for my grandson called "Clumsy The Cat ". It was something that I didn't think I could ever do, but I put my mind to it and finished the story! If you would like to purchase the book it is on Amazon Kindle. The proceeds will be used to help pay for my long-term care and medical bills.
Just like I put my mind to finishing the book, I'm putting my mind to being a Stroke Recovery Warrior!
God bless and thank you for allowing me to share my story with you. Take care of yourself and someone else too if you can. Please consider donating or purchasing the book, Clumsy The Cat. Thank you!
