Strong Like Meg

Donation protected
Meg can be described as a fit, selfless, enthusiastic 25 year old. Not only does she make a difference in the lives of children as a second grade teacher, she goes out of her way to help and be there for everyone in her life. She recently got engaged to Nick and was happily planning out their future. When she was diagnosed with breast cancer, it shocked all of us.

Meg is strong and will fight with the courage and bravery we all know she has. Meg’s cancer is triple positive: estrogen, progesterone, and HER2 positive. She also has the TP53 genetic mutation, which puts her at a high risk for developing other cancers. This requires that she get chemotherapy and a bilateral mastectomy. Chemotherapy can cause women to become infertile, so Meg and Nick have decided to freeze Meg’s eggs through IVF.

When someone is fighting cancer, often we feel helpless in what to do. If you’re looking for a way to lighten her load, please consider donating financially, so that her worries are lessened. If you are unable to assist financially, please consider sharing the Go Fund Me and her story to others.

If you choose to donate here the funds will help cover the following costs:
- Meg’s gas expenses: Meg travels to Penn State Hershey which is about an hour and 45 minutes each way.
- Fertility treatments to help preserve Meg’s ability to be a mother down the road.
- Medical costs not covered by insurance.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read Meg’s story, and please feel free to share with anyone you know who may be able to help.
