#StrongAF Fund - Support Ashley Farkas

As you know, our dear friend (and total bad-ass warrior) Ashley Farkas has been battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) for the last two months. The chemo treatments have been difficult with many side effects, which means a lot of time in the hospital for Ash and a leave of absence from her job. The frequency and effects of the cancer procedures, along with lengthy hospital stays and, ultimately, a stem cell transplant down the road, will keep Ash out of work as the Sunrise Hospital team navigates her treatment plan. 

Although she is very fortunate to have health insurance, an AML diagnosis is a very costly disease with regular medical bills during all phases of treatment.  To help ease the financial strain on her, donations made to this fund will help with medical expenses and other unexpected costs that arise as she works through this transition. Even though Ash has a long road ahead, her oncology doctors are hopeful for a positive outcome.

Many of you have asked how you can help, so here it is! Hopefully we can ease Ashley’s stress just a little bit knowing she has some financial support along the way. I recognize it is an incredibly difficult time for many, especially during the holidays, but every dollar helps and is very, very appreciated.
