My name is Hailee Potter and I am here to raise donations for my best friend, Andrea Hemenway, who was diagnosed with stage 4B Primary Peritoneal Cancer on Wednesday March 10th. PPC is a very rare cancer that is extremely hard to diagnose and when it’s caught, it’s usually in a late stage. This cancer can spread and develop very rapidly because of its vague symptom appearance. The amazing news is that we have an 80% chance of beating this beast!! However, because of the severity and type of cancer that this is, she is at very high risk for the cancer returning.
Andrea is the last person in the world to ask for help and she is usually doing all of the helping. As a CNA, a mother and a wife this girl is not used to being the center of attention. Andrea has been working on the front lines at the hospital for all of Covid-19 and has helped many people fight through this pandemic. Now, it’s our time to help her fight!
To date: Andrea has already begun chemo and will continue having chemotherapy to fight this cancer! She has had multiple tests and 2 surgical procedures. She is on many medications to address everything that may come her way during this time.
These next 6-8 months are going to be mentally, physically and financially overwhelming as she fights this battle. Her family and I are asking for any contribution to help with all of the medical expenses and some loss of income during this time.
In addition, we want to raise support for her by wearing these one of a kind t-shirts. They were made just for her and we will be selling them for $30 each adult and $15 for kids.
