Please Help Me Continue Moving Forward with My Recovery and Housing
This is not an easy post to write, but I’ve learned that sometimes, we have to humble ourselves and ask for help.
I am a United States Army Veteran, and if there’s one thing my service taught me, it’s how to push through challenges on my own. That mindset has made it incredibly difficult to ask for help, but right now, I have no other option.
I want you to imagine what it would feel like to do everything in your power—working the maximum legal hours on Lyft, seven days a week, applying for jobs every week, and actively seeking assistance through veteran aid groups—yet still coming up short. That’s where I am right now. Over the last six months, the rising costs of insurance and gas, combined with fewer driving opportunities, have cost me $3,500 per month in income. Now, I owe $6,500 in back rent and am facing eviction unless I can get immediate help.
I know you’re probably thinking, “Why should I help?” And that’s a fair question. The truth is, we’ve all been in situations where we felt stuck, where we needed just one break to turn things around. Maybe you remember a time when someone reached out a hand to help you—or a moment when you wished someone had.
I’m not asking for much—just whatever God puts on your heart. Every dollar will go directly toward my rent to help me stay housed and keep moving forward. If you can help in any way—whether through a donation, sharing this, or simply praying for me—I would be incredibly grateful.

Nina, thank you for seeing me through this. Your support has meant more than I can put into words.
And to you, reading this right now—I appreciate you more than you know. One day, I’ll pay this forward, just as I hope you’ll feel led to help today.
