Stuart and Tina Basso

Hi, I am Stuart and Tina Basso’s cousin Wendy. My cousins have had too many battles to fight alone in the last 2 months. Stuart lost his mother, Jean Basso, suddenly October 3, 2022 after just having visited her grand daughter and Stuart’s niece, in hospice for the last time. Stuart’s niece passed due to a brain tumour October 28, 2022 at 33yrs old.
Stuart’s “love of his life”, Tina, has been,”the rock” after losing her mom from a brain tumour when Tina and her sisters were young. Tina has been “the rock” during their daughter , Marisa Basso’s fight with brain tumours, involving 3 brain surgeries. The last being just a few weeks ago (good news is ,she is winning that fight!)
Now Tina has found out that she, herself, has to battle against a brain tumour.
Both Tina (ECE and Chief of the Estaire Volunteer Fire Department) and Stuart (transport driver and Estaire volunteer fire fighter) are not able to work at their jobs right now . These strong and giving people need some help.
Doctor visits in Toronto and surgery to be done before Christmas. Money can’t change what is happening but it would give Stuart and Tina one less thing to worry about so they can focus on the battle.
Oh! And their truck had a major mechanical problem and has been with the Ford dealership for the last 2 weeks. They have been told it will be 3-4 months for a technician from head office to come to check it out to see if it covered under warranty. Isn’t that the way of things happening at the worst time?
Maybe you know them, maybe you don’t, but this is a story of “When bad things happen to good people”
Stuart and Tina are not ones to ask for help, so I am asking for them.
Please give what you can and hopefully, working together, we can help these good people get on top of this mountain they have been given.
Thank you.
