DONATIONS COMPLETE - THANK YOU Stuck in Mexico
Donation protected
As you guys probably heard, Tom & Kelly Brown were just married on March 20th. They had a beautiful ceremony and were fortunate enough to leave for their honeymoon to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico a couple days after the wedding. They had an amazing time but hit a big snag the day before they were scheduled to fly back to the US.
Unfortunately, Kelly tested positive for Covid and was unable to board the return flight. Kelly is doing well without any symptoms, thank goodness, but the resort relocated her to a room in the back, and she can't leave that room until her 14 day quarantine period is over. And to make matters worse, the resort is charging them for the room at $300 per night. Tom wanted desperately to stay behind with his new wife, but the resort would have put him in a separate room since he tested negative, and they would have charged them for that second room. So, he is back in Atlanta, and Kelly is stuck in Mexico.
As you can imagine, this is not at all how they pictured their first couple of weeks as a newlywed couple - apart from each other, in different countries, and racking up fees from a mandatory quarantine stay locked away in a back room. The only way I can think of to help is to pitch in towards their unexpected costs. There is absolutely no expectation or pressure for you to contribute, and we completely understand if you are not able to do so. However, if you are able to contribute, even a small amount, it will go a long way to making a bad situation a little better, and I'm sure they will greatly appreciate it! Thanks for reading.
