Our lives have all been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. With the ongoing lockdowns throughout the world, students have been compelled to undertake their education at home. Thus, in addition to their basic needs, students need unprecedented access to connectivity (internet/data) to conduct day-to-day studies. Unfortunately, many students (estimated at 6000) do not even possess devices to work on from home, and, in cases where they do, cannot afford connectivity.
Therefore, we have come together under the umbrella of “Student Axecess”, in collaboration with Digicel Dominica, Fone Shack, and Vibes radio to assist Dominican students with connectivity services for educational purposes. We solicit your support in raising funds (until April 30th) that will go directly and completely towards the following:
1) For students without devices: purchase of tablet (valued at EC $600) and EC $200 towards 2-months of connectivity (Total value = EC $800)
2) For students with devices: EC $200 towards 2-months of connectivity.
