Student Nurses Covid-19
Donation protected
Student placement in third level colleges in Ireland has been suspended due to Covid-19. Except for some student nurses who have no choice but to fight Frontline and help combat the killer virus. It is a hard time for everyone and a lot of us will be left with a massive loss of earnings. Student nurses are working without pay full-time for the next six weeks. Possibly extending longer if self isolation is needed. This leaves them with the possibility of not being able to pay for their rent, bills, or a well deserved bottle of wine at the end of a shift.
Well done to all Frontline student nurses working for nothing, like Leo said, your country needs you. This go fund me page is to help a few student nurses with the financial burden.
I've worked along side Trainee nurses in St.James' hospital many who work 12 hour shifts across 3 or 4 days without payment. It's not your average job, while it is rewarding work at times it can be mentally and physically draining and you're exhausted after a shift. Donations will go to UCD students who are struggling. If government decides they will pay them donations will go towards helping with fees for those with no or limited financial support.
