Ruelas Fulfillment Foundation

Donation protected
Hello everyone, my name is Fabiola Moreno Ruelas, I am 21 years old and a recent alumna of San Diego State University where I studied Political Science.

I created the Ruelas Fulfillment Foundation when I was only 18 years old during my freshman year of college. I did so for one very simple reason, that is, to give back to others. When I got accepted to SDSU, my community rallied behind me through multiple scholarship donations that they granted me as a graduating senior.

My community, Gonzales, far before my senior year of high school has supported my family and me in a multitude of ways. Growing up, my family didn't have much and through rental assistance programs, teachers, community leaders, and community members my mother was able to raise my sisters and me. Gonzales raised me, and as I went off to college, I was eager to extend a helping hand in the same way that so many others did for me.

Four years later, this month I will be awarding four scholarships to those Gonzales High School graduating seniors who applied for the Ruelas Fulfillment Scholarship. Throughout my time at San Diego State I have been able to help the SDSU community as well. With donations given to student organizations like the NAACP. In January 2021 I also created the Undocumented Scholarship: Education without Borders where I awarded 2 undocumented student scholarships in an effort to alleviate financial hardships that are more prevalent in their lives. In totality, I have been able to help 10+ students reach for higher education while fulfilling the financial gaps that arise from entering higher education spaces.

Now, as an alumna of San Diego State, I am excited to use all of the knowledge that I have gained to continue to improve the lives of others by allowing them to reach their fullest potential. Throughout these last four years, Gonzales, students, the SDSU community, San Diego, and many others have helped me grow this foundation to where it is now. It is with a humble heart that I ask you to extend a helping hand by donating to this foundation. In doing so you are helping others access higher education.
