Studio Safar in Beirut Needs Your Help!
Donation protected
The situation in Beirut is only getting worse, and we need your help. My brother Hatem Imam and his business partner Maya Moumne run a creative design agency in Beirut and their studio has been destroyed from the explosion. Studio Safar is located in Gemmayzeh, one of the hardest hit areas.
It's a miracle that everyone at Studio Safar is physically okay, despite the proximity to the explosion and scale of damage.

Like thousands of people in Beirut right now, everyone is displaced and uncertain of what their future, let alone their next day, looks like. I'm setting up this Go Fund Me page to help my brother pick up the pieces to be able to run the studio again.
The funds will be used to rebuild their office space; replace broken equipment and basically anything they need to be able to keep their business alive.
If you can, please help me raise resources to give my brother and his team a chance of rebuilding their life in Beirut. Any amount helps! If you cannot donate please help by spreading the word and sharing this link.
Studio Safar is a Beirut-based design and art direction agency headed by creative directors Maya Moumne and Hatem Imam. We work in the kind of dynamic and exploratory environment evoked by the studio's name (Safar being Arabic for travel).
Safar is an independent design and visual culture magazine based in Beirut, Lebanon. Published biannually and bilingually (Arabic-English), Safar curates contributions from designers, thinkers, and artists around a chosen theme. Safar, the Arabic word for travel, refers to notions of communication, especially across cultural and linguistic boundaries. The magazine’s primary goal is to recognize Graphic Design as an active player in cultural production and to shift the conversation on design and visual culture away from its fixation on the global North.
