Hello everyone!
My name is Eric Webler and I am one of 5 people apart of Studio Van Productions. I also have a YouTube Channel called Its Webzic where I uploade funny gaming videos. What is Studio Van Productions? We are a group of High Schoolers with a love for film. The group consists of Daniel Cucciarre (12th Grade, graduating this year), Robert Phraner (10th Grade), Richard Wood (10th Grade), Devin Hulse (9th Grade), and myself (11th Grade). Back in February of this year, we found out about the Catskill Mountains Film Festival and it being in Delhi, NY. Delhi is about a 15 minute drive from our town of Walton. We decided to enter in the High School Music Video catagory. Yesterday was the award ceremony and our music video for the song "Imaginary Friends" by Laszlo won! Here are 5 guys from a small town of 3,000 people standing next to winners that came from Illinois to Scotland. This is something we will never forget. After getting this win, we decided to put together a video group. We call ourselves Studio Van Productions. Why Studio Van? Well, after we recorded our parts for the music video, we went into Dan's van to edit the video. Most of the editing actually happened in there. We decided that our name would be based on that and Studio Van was born. We want to continue making films and we have plans to make our first movie this summer! There is only one downside to this whole thing, lack of money. I myself have not much money at all. Whatever money I make goes towards gas for the car and it doesn't even give me half a tank. I've applied to many jobs with no luck. The same thing goes for my friends. We need your help! I'm looking to raise $7,500 dollars. The camera we used for the film we entered is more of a photography camera and it has a problem recording. After recording about 30 seconds to 2 minutes, the camera stops and we lose that recording. It got pretty frustrating during filming because it happened so often. The quality looked great but it was nothing like some of the other films entered in the festival. I want to get a professional recording camera. Those things cost about $3,000 to $6,000 dollars for a good one. If we can get this money, it will help us greatly and we will be able to get the right equipment to make awesome movies! Thank you for reading this and I hope you guys can help us reach our goal!
