Studley First Responders - urgent appeal

Studley First Responders have been operating within the village and surrounding areas for over 15 years, attending medical emergencies from falls and road traffic collisions to cardiac arrests. We receive no government funding or funding from the ambulance service who we respond on behalf of.

unfortunately, we are at a point where we have run out of funds to fuel vehicles, car insurance, equipment servicing to name a few and are now at a point where we may have to close down the scheme.

Given the pressures on the ambulance service and wider NHS, an emergency ambulance may take longer to reach you or a loved one when you call 999, in cases such as a cardiac arrest, every seccond counts and early CPR and defibrillation are key for any chance of successful resuscitation.

If the village and surrounding areas loose the first responders, there is always the chance of increased risk with medical help being delayed
