Study Abroad Spring 2023 - Japan

Hi, my son, Damien, has a fantastic opportunity to study abroad in Japan in March 2023. He will spend eight full days exploring Fukuoka and Tokyo. Fukuoka is Japan's fifth largest city and home to Penn State's partner university, Seinan Gakuin. He will spend the first seven weeks of the semester focusing on the various roles communication plays in the workplace, including leadership, change, networks, group communication, and more. The course will set the stage for visiting multiple organizations in Fukuoka. Additionally, the class will spend time with students from Seinan Gakuin and sightseeing. The last three days will be in Tokyo, where they will have a guided walking tour of the city, an additional organizational visit, and plenty of time to explore.

We are fundraising for costs, including all transportation, airfare, hotels, Fukuoka & Tokyo walking tours, and food.

As Japanese is his second focus of study, his number one goal was to study and visit Japan. Damien will be one of twenty students given this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and experience.
