Stull Cattle Co. Four County Fire Relief
Donation protected
The Four County Wild Fire’s that occurred December 15th in North Central Kansas were started by a massive wind storm that moved across the plains that produced Hurricane force winds ranging from 70 to 107 miles per hours. High winds knocked down powerlines that started multiple fires in the Ellis, Russell, Rooks and Osborne Counties. The extreme winds spread wildfire so quickly there was virtually no time to prepare and many people were lucky to get out alive.
In the path of the destruction was, Stull Cattle Company operated by Dustin Stull and his family who are located in the Natoma, Kansas area, were in the path of the destructive fire. Stull’s operate a cow/calf and dry land farming operation. The fire over ran a lot of the winter pasture, stock piled hay bales and killed approximately over half of the spring calving cow herd and bred heifers they were to start calving in February, March and April.
The loss of life from the cow herd is the most devastating, but also the pasture and feed that was lost to sustain the rest of their cows will be hard to replace. There are many miles of fencing that will need to be repaired along with some other equipment used to operate that was lost.
We are asking family and friends and those who can help to donate to this Go Fund Me page with proceeds going directly to this family ranching operation. No donation is too big or too small in times like these and are truly appreciated.
