STUY COVE PARK'S GOAT FUND ME
Tax deductible
The COVID crisis has taught us that NYC's green spaces are an essential service for the community, offering a chance to connect with nature and neighbors, move our bodies, and get a much needed breath of fresh air. But the spring lock down means the weeds got the jump on Stuy Cove Park's staff while they were needfully quarantining at home, so we are calling in some backup that can EAT the park into shape in time for fall.
Starting September 8th the world famous Green Goats of Rhinebeck will take up residence in our teaching garden and work alongside us as our resident weed eaters. Volunteers can sign up here to help the Park Manager prune and pull weeds from around the park and add them to the goats' daily smorgasbord, and in a matter of days we'll manage a massive amount of biomass while also creating fertile soil! True closed-loop land stewardship!
Plus, all the park's visitors will get to come watch the cutest landscapers around do their good work: a little glimmer of levity during this tough time. So help us bring the goats to Stuy Cove! Every little bit helps, and we're so thankful for your donation!
